WHY IS PREVENTION IMPORTANT?
Oral Health for Overall Health
Good oral hygiene can not only prevent cavities and periodontal disease but also affect your overall health and well-being.
Regular comprehensive dental examinations and clean appointments are highly recommended for maintaining good oral health.
Our Active Maintenance program encourages our patients to attend on a regular basis, usually every 6 months, and promotes good oral hygiene habits. With regular checks there is greater opportunity for the early detection of potential dental problems, allowing for treatment to occur before the problems develop into larger and generally more expensive problems.
At your Active Maintenance appointment our dentists will perform a thorough examination of your mouth, teeth and soft tissue areas, including the use of digital x-rays. These digital x-rays allow our dentists to look at the internal structure of your teeth, jaw and for any underlying infections. Our dentists will then propose and discuss with you a treatment plan for any identified issues. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and ensure you have all of the information you need to make the best decision for you.
