Frequently Asked Questions

What is considered to be a dental emergency?

If you’ve had a tooth knocked out, are experiencing uncontrollable bleeding or unbearable pain, or you have an abscess or infection, these are dental emergencies requiring immediate attention.

What should I do in an emergency?

Call us and arrange an appointment as soon as possible. Even if you can manage the issue yourself, it’s important to have your dentist confirm there isn’t another underlying problem.

What should I do if my tooth has been knocked out?

As well as calling us, it’s advisable to put the tooth back in its socket. Carefully rinse it off before placing it back. If this isn’t possible, preserve the tooth in a container of milk, salt water, saline solution or saliva.
